Haws named USTA director

Jerry Haws, the president and sales manager of the Blooded Horse Sales Company, has been appointed to the U.S. Trotting Association Board of Directors by the membership directors in USTA District 6-B, which is comprised of states in the southeast United States, except Florida.



Haws will take the place of Bill Sanders, who resigned last month after nine years on the board due to "increased business activities."



Haws also serves as a vice president of the Kentucky Harness Horsemen's Association and is on the board of directors of the New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program. He will be seated at the annual meeting of the USTA Board of Directors on Saturday, March 19. He will stand for election to the Board later this year.
