Hawthorne Race Course’s last two races Thursday night were cancelled after a small fire in an electrical room knocked out most of the power at the racetrack. Friday’s harness races will go on as scheduled, according to a track official.
“We are taking entries this morning (Friday) for Tuesday’s card in the press box, which is on the east side of the track that does have power. A generator is being installed for the west end of the facility and it will be business as usual for Friday night,” said a track official.
