Three divisions of leg two of the Stickney Pacing Series were contested at Hawthorne on Wednesday night, with Artie’s Quest, Get Real and TJ”s First scoring victories, setting the stage for next week’s final.

Artie’s Quest, in hand to Brent Holland, moved from the back of the pack with live cover, closed the final quarter-mile in :27.1, and prevailed by just a head over the longshot GW Sport to get the job done in a life-best 1:56. It was her first victory in 21 starts this season, and with it she moved to the top of the series earning’s list.

In the second division Get Real came first-over before the half for Ryan Anderson, but had plenty left in the tank to score a 3-length win over the slightly favored Winslow Hustler in 1:55.1.

In the third division TJ’s First, who was parked virtually the entire mile for driver-trainer Owen Julius, pulled off a huge upset at odds of 19-1, completing the mile in a lifetime best 1:57.1.
