He's init to win the Vance

Megan Wilson and Travis Betters’ Inittogether is the 8-5 morning line favorite in the $7,250 Dave Vance Memorial Trot Final at Buffalo Raceway on Friday night. The race is named after longtime Buffalo Raceway reinsman Dave Vance, who died on Jan. 1, 2002 from leukemia. Dave was especially keen with horses that favored the trotting gait.

Inittogether with driver John Cummings Jr. in the sulky took both legs of the preliminaries, the last leg on March 23, from the eight post in 2:02.2 which was the 4-year-old Master Lavec geldings season’s best mile in four wins. Inittogether drew post seven in the eight-horse field, but driver Cummings doesn’t seem worried.

“Not much you can do about the draw,” said Cummings. “you’re always worry about an outside post on a half-mile track, but he’s (Inittogether) done well here, either going to the lead, or coming from behind. We’ll just take the race as it comes and hope for the best.”

The main contenders seem to be TSM Photopia and driver Ron Beback Jr., who finished second and third to Inittogether in both preliminary legs, and the David Brusseau entry of Armbro Bravo (Richie Mays) and Paulie Ma Guire, whom David will steer from the pylons, and finished second to Inittogether last week.
