He’s Redhot, a full brother to national season’s record holder She’s So Hot p,2, 1:52.4 topped the Land Of Lincoln Yearling Sale at Walker Standardbred Farm in Sherman, Ill., Sunday, bringing a final bid of $60,000 from Ken Duffy and John Carver for the son of Richess Hanover. The colt was consigned by Fox Valley Standardbreds as agent for breeders Jim and Donna Crebs. In addition to being a full brother to the once beaten She’s So Hot, the colt is also a half-brother to Hot N Sporty p,2, 1:50.2. The 122 yearlings that sold brought a gross of $1,350,000 for an average of $11,066, a decline of 3.5 percent from last year when 136 yearlings averaged $11,468, which was a 13.6 percent increase from the 2005 average.
