Hodes leaving Meadowlands

Meadowlands’ director of media relations Carol Hodes has told harnessracing.com she will be leaving the track sometime early in 2007 after taking the buyout offered by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority.

Hodes, a graduate of George Washington University with a BA in journalism, has worked for the Sports Authority for 25 years after a stint as a sports reporter for the Newark Star-Ledger. She has also served as the media director of Monmouth Thoroughbred track over her career.

“I will always have a strong bond with the Meadowlands and the people with whom I work in the 'bunker' and the horsemen who have been so generous with their time and knowledge,” Hodes told harnessracing.com “I have 25 years of wonderful memories.”
