Harnessracing.com has learned from the Illinois Racing Board that a hearing regarding positive tests for Pyrilamine dating back to 2006 on the horses Holborn Hanover and Jereme’s Jet at Maywood and Balmoral Park will be held Tuesday, May 13.

Holborn Hanover, who died earlier this year, received a positive following his win in the $203,000 American National at Balmoral Park Aug. 26, 2006. Trainer Brett Robinson was fined $2,500 and the purse was ordered to be redistributed. According to the U.S. Trotting Association records, the $97,440 winner’s share of the purse has been taken away from Holborn Hanover’s owners John Fielding, Doug Hyatt and Albert Imbrogno and credited to the account of second-placed-first Lis Mara.

Lis Mara, voted 2006 Older Pacer of the Year, originally finished the year with $967,485 in earnings but has since catapulted past the million-dollar level to $1,020,265 with the additional victory.

Trainer Tom Harmer was also fined $2,500 and the purse redistributed for a Pyrilamine positive on Jereme’s Jet in the $250,000 Windy City Pace Nov. 17, 2006, at Maywood Park. Unlike Holborn Hanover’s case, Jereme’s Jet is still listed as the winner according to USTA records and the $125,000 winner’s share still credited the pacer, owned by Jolene Leahy’s Genesis Racing Stable. My Boy David was runner-up in the race.
