Holiday Credit kept his record this year unblemished as he captured the $185,000 Dexter Cup final in 1:56.3 Saturday at Freehold.

With Ron Pierce in the bike for trainer Jimmy Takter, Holiday Credit lead from start to finish, cutting fractions of :28.3, :58.3 and 1:27.2. At the wire he was 4 ¾ lengths ahead of First Pleasurelane and David Miller, with Oh So White and Andy Miller third.

The victory was the third of the year in as many starts for the 3-year-old Credit Winner colt owned by Christina Takter, John Fielding, Falkbolagen AB and Order By Stable.

Freehold’s afternoon card also included three division of the Helen Dancer for 3-year-old filly pacers.

In the $54,350 first division, Cuz She Can (Cambest) and George Brennan drew off to a 5 1/2-length victory over Wild West Show and Ray Schnittker in 1:55. Cuz She Can won for the third time in four starts this year for trainer Mark Harder and owner Bulletproof Enterprises.

The $54,350 second division went to Dragonfest (Dragon Again) and Andy Miller in 1:55.4 by two lengths over Hannah Isabel and Mike Lachance. It was the first start of the year for Dragonfest, who is trained by Julie Miller for Harmony Oaks Racing Stable, Janes and Sandra Zilli and Larry Baron.

In the $55,850 final split of the Helen Dancer, Four Starz Horndog (Four Starzzz shark) and Brennan got up for a head victory over the pacesetting Thong and John Campbell in 1:55.2. Unraced at two, this was the filly’s third triumph in as many starts this year for trainer Erik Schulman and the Four Starzzzz Stable LLC.
