Hoosier Park Pub players can play by mobile

Guests of Hoosier Park's Winner's Circle Pub, Grille & OTB now have a new and convenient way to place race wagers by means of the recently approved FastBet Mobile wagering system. Granted under a pilot program by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, FastBet Mobile offers guests the ability to wager directly from a Winner's Circle supplied mobile tablet device. The first of its kind in Indiana, Hoosier Park's downtown Indianapolis property is offering the new technology to guests free of charge. Guests will be able to use their own smartphone, iPad and Android tablet devices in July.

 

The FastBet Mobile system, developed by United Tote, was approved by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission in April 2012. The Winner's Circle Pub, Grille & OTB will act as Hoosier Park's testing grounds as they evaluate the FastBet Mobile system for possible future implementation at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, their Anderson, Ind. property.

 

Winner's Circle guest, Debbie Brown, of Indianapolis, Ind., appreciated the new technology during a recent visit to one of a handful of testing days. "This is the most fun I've had betting on horses in my life,” said Brown. The FastBet Mobile system is groundbreaking for an industry that, up until this point, required all guests to leave their seats and stand in line to place wagers using either a stationary self-serve or manned wagering device. "I can sit with my friends and socialize without each of us having to leave the group just to place a bet,” Brown continued.

 

Guests can access the FastBet Mobile system by connecting to the Winner's Circle local wireless network. Once connected, guests log in to the FastBet application site to access their account and start wagering. Once finished, guests can choose to keep their account balance or cash out at any teller window. Each account is unique to each guest and protected through encryption technology. The FastBet Mobile system is restricted and only operational within the confines of the Winner's Circle Pub, Grille & OTB.
