Trainer George Teague Jr. has issued confirmation that 2004 Horse of the Year Rainbow Blue, currently at Dr. John Egloff’s Vieux Carre Farms in Hanover, Pa., is “officially in foal” to two-time divisional champion Western Hanover.
The 4-year-old mare was retired early last month after re-injuring her left front tendon during training, an injury that originally occurred last June and ended her sophomore season.
“Dr. Egloff checked her 14 days out and again 16 days out and everything looks perfect,” Teague told harnessracing.com Tuesday morning, May 9. “It is a healthy pregnancy so far.”
