Horsepower at Pocono

Horse power of a different kind will be on display Saturday afternoon (June 10) at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs as part of a Belmont Stakes party, and fans 21 years of age or older will get the opportunity of driving Robbie Gordon’s White No. 7 Jim Beam NASCAR simulator car. There is no charge.

Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will have a special harness racing post of 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon with the Belmont Stakes to follow at 6:35 p.m. Patrons will be able to watch and wager on the third jewel of horse racing’s Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes.

All guests, 21 years of age or older, will have the opportunity to drive the Robbie Gordon simulator from 2 to 6 p.m. Those participating must have a valid driver’s license.

Jim Beam representatives will be on hand with some giveaway items and radio station WBHT will be broadcasting the activities. Jim Beam is presenting the simulator as part of its “Drink Smart Campaign-If you’re under 21, don’t drink; if you’re 21 and over and choose to drink, do so in moderation and never drive drunk.”
