Horses die in barn fire

Carol and Bob Yohn of Wisconsin suffered one of a horsemen's worst nightmares Saturday night when a barn fire killed nine of their horses.



The barn was left in rubble, Carol Yohn told friends. "It was our future, yearlings and 2 year olds," she said. " We had a couple of the race horses in another barn, and our mare and foal turned out as well, a 5 year old and a 6 year old that may or may not race again outside too. Right now we are short on hope and that is what our business is made of."



The Christian Harness Horsemen's Association is trying to raise funds to help the Yohns. You can make your check payable to CHHA, 1846 Ross Rd Sunbury, Ohio 43074.
