The premiere race for 3-year-old pacers, the $480,000 Little Brown Jug, is the second leg in Pacing's Triple Crown, and has drawn 16 talented colts, split into two, $76,800 eight-horse divisions. The top four finishers in each division will return for the second heat. In order to be awarded the fabled trophy, a horse must win two heats. The first elimination is headed by North American Pace winner, Tell All, from post position three. He expects to face the biggest challenge from Meadowlands Pace and Art Rooney Pace winner, Southwind Lynx, who has drawn post six. The second split is topped by Always A Virgin (post three), who has tallied in eight of 12 starts in '07, and May June Character, who enters the Jug off three consecutive tallies.
