Harness racing aficionados will enjoy some of the best Standardbred racing action during the 2007 campaign when HorseRacing TV (HRTV) presents live coverage of The Red Mile's summer/fall racing session, when the Lexington, Ky. track opens its doors, beginning on Thursday.

The 33-day session from the historic facility will begin with a three-day racing week (Thursday, Sunday and Monday) through the early portion of the meeting. Post time is slated for 6:30 p.m.(ET)/3:30 p.m.(PT). From Sept. 25 through closing day, Oct. 6, post time moves to 12:30 p.m. (ET)/9:30 a.m.(PT).

When racing expands to four days in mid-September and then five days later in the month and into early October, the stakes schedule reaches a fever pitch. The final two weeks are loaded with stakes races, and the last two days of the meeting--Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6--present a fitting climax to the fall stand. The $300,000 Kentucky Filly Futurity for the best sophomore trotting fillies tops the Oct. 5 card.

The highlight of the meeting comes on closing day when the top 3-year-old trotting colts vie in the $700,000 Kentucky Futurity, the final leg of trotting's Triple Crown. Also dotting the stakes-ladened card is the $700,000 Tattersalls Pace for sophomore pacing colts. (HRTV)
