HorseRacing TV (HRTV) will present live coverage of the $551,225 Little Brown Jug and the Jugette from the Delaware County Fairgrounds. HRTV will show both the Jug day and Jugette day cards in their entirety.
The 63rd edition of the fabled Jug is the second leg of pacing's Triple Crown, which is annually contested on the third Thursday of September, and features many of the top 3-year-old pacers in the country from one of racing's most interesting atmospheres.
This year's edition has drawn 20 entries, and it has been split into three eliminations, with the top three in each qualifying for the second heat final. The Jug format requires a horse to win two heats on the same day to annex the trophy. If no elimination winner takes the second heat final, a four-horse raceoff will be held to determine the Jug winner.
The favorites in each elimination are Art Official, recent winner of the Cane Pace, the first leg of pacing's Triple Crown and Badlands Nitro, the runner-up in the Cane.
