HTA offers scholarships

Harness Tracks of America has announced that it will be offering $51,000 in college scholarships for the 2005-2006 school year to children of harness racing participants and others active in the sport.



With assistance from International Sound Corporation, Harold Snyder and Champion Communications Ltd., HTA will present four $7,500 scholarships and two $10,000 scholarships based on academic merit, financial need and active harness racing involvement.



An additional $1,000 in scholarship will be awarded to a student from the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program.



Applications may be accessed at harnesstracks.com or mailed to the HTA at 4640 East Sunrise Dr., Suite 200, Tucson, Ariz. 85718 by June 15.
