A field of seven will assemble for Friday’s $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace at Pompano Park, which will go as the first race on the program and is headlined by Hypnotize, who is seeking her sixth victory of the year.

Owned by Louis Diffenback, Lisa Diffenback, William Mack Jr. and trainer Jim Mattison, Hypnotize was strong in her last start when winning the Mares Open Handicap by a commanding 4 ˝ lengths while stopping the timer in a lifetime-best 1:52.2. A seven-time winner in 2006, Hypnotize has already visited the winner’s circle on five occasions this year, with all of her victories coming at the Mares Open Handicap level.

Installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite for the Friday feature, the 5-year-old daughter of Artiscape was assigned post seven and will be guided from the outside slot by Joe Pavia Jr.

Set to challenge Hypnotize in the Friday feature is Flo Found George, a winner of seven starts last year with victories in the in the $113,423 Simcoe Stakes for 3-year-old fillies and the $67,500 Fan Hanover Stakes consolation.

Owned by the Booff Stable and Steve Goldberg of Glen Ridge, N.J., and trained by Anthony Faulkner, the daughter of Dream Away exits a fourth-place performance in the Mares Open Handicap on March 9 where she faltered as the 4-5 race favorite.

Flo Found George has drawn post two for Friday’s pace and will be driven by Bruce Ranger, who was at the lines two starts ago when the 4-year-old mare was beaten a neck by My Perfect Rhyme, who also returns for the Friday feature.

My Perfect Rhyme won the Mares Open Handicap on March 2 in 1:52.3 at odds of 19-1 and has since returned with a second-place performance. Anthony Napolitano will pilot the daughter of Cole Muffler from post five on Friday for the ownership of Tanah Merah Farms LLC of Springfield, Ill., and trainer Lyle McGilveary.

William Creek Stable’s Maresey Doats was beaten a neck in her last start when finishing third in the March 2 Mares Open Handicap from Pompano. After taking a week off, the daughter of Towner’s Big Guy returns for the Friday feature and has drawn the inside post position for trainer Dan Hennessey and driver Wally Hennessey.

Rounding out the field for the Friday feature from Pompano is Golden Falcon N, who won a winners-over event in her last start in 1:54.1; Wilma Hall, a 10-time winner in 2006 with over $211,000 in career earnings; and All About Maggie, a two-time Mares Open Handicap winner at Pompano this year.
