Igottafeelinfran takes OBC for pacing fillies

Igottafeelinfran won the $28,000 Ohio Breeders Championship for 2-year-old filly pacers on Sunday, the opening day of the Grand Circuit meeting at the Delaware County Fair.
 
Dan Noble sent the eventual winner first up to challenge the lead by Cating Around (Chris Page) past the half in :58 and three quarters in 1:27.3. Noble sat patiently on the outside and wore down the leader in the stretch to score a ¾-length victory in 1:56. Cating Around, the Ohio Sires Stake champion, held on for second and Pink Camo (Tony Hall) was third.
 
Igotafeelinfran, a daughter of Feelin Friskie, won for the fourth time in nine seasonal starts and has earned $64,800 for Jerry Zosel, Kathy Ratcliff and Kimberly Dailey. Jim Dailey trains the filly.
 
 
Ehrenberg II and Walker Take Billings Amateur Trot Divisions
David Ehrenberg II used a perfect two-hole trip to guide Donnamom past the pacesetting Wolf's Jann (Bud Hatfield) in 1:58.2. The 5-year old mare is owned by Ehrenberg and conditioned by Jim Pollock, Jr.
 
In the first Billings division, Ace Hanover scored in 2:02.4. for driver/owner/trainer Mitchell Walker. Cabo Blue (George Bonomo) and Cheers To Chip (Stephen Oldfield) rounded out the top three.
 
Tyler Smith Sweeps the Delaware Opens
The 19 year-old Tyler Smith won a pair of Delaware Open Series events for sophomore trotters.
Awesome Valley was the best in the colt division defeating Moveman (Brandon Bates) in 1:57.1. Awesome Valley won for the sixth time in 10 seasonal starts for Walter S. Fister LLC and conditioner Jeff Smith.
 
Ticket To Broadway scored in the filly division in 1:59.2. The Broadway Hall mare is owned by Christopher Beaver, James Gallagher and David Lang and was trained by Paul Ungashick.
 
 
Walker Takes Fouts Memorial
Mitchell Walker made a second trip to the winners circle on Sunday this time with Free My Mind in the Tim Fouts Memorial. The Fouts Memorial brings together representatives of the various amateur driving clubs across North America. Free My Mind is leased by Thomas A. Martin and was trained by Jay Veach.
 
Racing will resume on Tuesday with a 12:00 Noon post time. (Delaware County Fair)
