Illinois prospect qualifies

My Boy David tore off a 1:55.4 qualifying mile at Balmoral Park Monday morning for driver-trainer Homer Hochstetler.

Last year as a 2 year old, My Boy David won the $140,000 Abe Lincoln and the $80,000 Governor’s Cup and placed second in the $300,000 Orange and Blue Stakes. The son of Cole Muffler took a mark of 1:50.4 and earned $255,999 for owners Shirley Le Vin and David Riff.
