The 2006 contract between Maywood and Balmoral Park and the Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association has been finalized. The IHHA Board of Directors voted 15-0 to endorse the 2006 contract, which sees 70 percent of recapture deferred to new legislation with a seven-year sunset clause, while the racetracks will take 30 percent of recapture from the 2006 purses. As well, there will be no stall rent charged at either Maywood or Balmoral Park.
