Illinois sets 2007 dates

The Illinois Racing Board announced 2007 racing dates at its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Balmoral and Maywood Parks were granted essentially similar dates to 2006 with 277 live harness programs handed out to the sister tracks. Hawthorne was granted 39 live harness dates, running from June 22 through Aug. 5.

Harness Schedule: 316 live programs
Balmoral Park
Janiary 1 through June 20 (racing 4 nights per week, dark on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and February 4; racing matinees on all Saturdays in January and February 3, 10 and 17); August 6 through December 31 (racing 4 nights per week, dark on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and December 25)
187 Total Live Programs; 229 Host Simulcast Programs

Maywood Park Trotting Association
January 4 through June 21 & August 9 thru September 20 (racing on Thursdays and Fridays)
Associates Racing Association at Maywood Park September 21 through December 28 (racing on Thursdays and Fridays, dark on November 22)
90 Total Live Programs; 91 Host Simulcast Programs

Suburban Downs at Hawthorne Race Course
June 22 through August 5 (racing 6 nights per week, dark on Mondays)
39 Total Live Progrmas; 45 Host Simulcast Programs
