Ill. owners make donation

Illinois-based owners Bernie and Deb Paul, who own pacer Fox Valley Tsunami, are donating the earnings produced by the 5 year old in his next four starts to the Red Cross Relief Fund for victims of the recent tsunami in South Asia that took the lives of more than 220,000 people.



"My wife and I were talking about the disaster and wondering what we could do to show our support for these people," said Bernie Paul. "With this horse being named what he is and the fact that he's come into form lately we both figured that donating some of his earnings to the Red Cross Relief Fund would be a good way to help out."



Balmoral Park president John Johnston has announced the track will match the Paul's donations. Actually, Fox Valley Tsunami's first effort for the relief fund came Thursday night, Jan. 20, when he finished third in a race at Balmoral Park, earning $450.
