Indiana Downs stakes payments due

Nominations for a series of Indiana Downs stakes valued at more than $1 million are due Monday, February 15. Nomination forms for these early closers, which are open to all, can be found on the Indiana Downs web site by clicking here. Several events, including the newly-created Pride in Progress Trot, The Elevation, and the Kentuckian Stallion Management Stake for filly pacers, will be held one week prior to Breeders Crown eliminations. The stakes with February 15 payment deadlines are as follows:
 
The Monument Circle for sophomore colt and gelding pacers
Nomination fee: $500
Sustaining fee: $1,000 (March 15)
Sustaining fee: $1,000 (April 15)
Declaration fee (final): $2,000
Final: $250,000 est. (November 6)
Consolation: $25,000 (November 6)
Final limited to the ten (10) highest money earners in 2010
 
The Oliver Trotting Classic for sophomore trotters
Nomination fee: $500
Sustaining fee: $1,000 (March 15)
Sustaining fee: $1,000 (April 15)
Declaration fee (final): $1,500
Final: $200,000 est. (September 25)
Consolation: $25,000 (September 25)
Final limited to the ten (10) highest money earners in 2010
 
The Indiana Pacing Derby for free-for-all pacers
Nomination fee: $1,500
Declaration fee: $1,000
Final: $100,000 Guaranteed (November 6)
Limited to the ten (10) highest money earners in 2010.
Will be held one week prior to the American-National Aged Pace at Balmoral Park.
 
The Pride in Progress for free-for-all trotters
Nomination fee: $1,500
Declaration fee: $1,000
Final: $100,000 Guaranteed (September 25)
Limited to the ten (10) highest money earners in 2010.
 
The Circle City Series for sophomore pacers and trotters
Nomination fee: $300
Sustaining fee: $300 (March 15)
Declaration fee: $300
Final: $60,000 est. (each division)

Colt Trot: November 6
Filly Trot: November 6
 
Kentuckiana Stallion Management Stakes for freshman pacing and trotting fillies
Nomination fee: $300

Starting fee: $1,250
Filly Trot Final: August 24
Filly Pace Final: September 25
Please note that the Kentuckiana Trot and Pace are serviced by the Hambletonian Society.
 
The Elevation for freshman colt and gelding pacers
Nomination fee: $750 (March 15)
Declaration fee: $1,000
Final: $150,000 est. (September 25)
If more than 11 enter, races will be contested in divisions.
