The 5-year-old pacer Share The Delight, a winner of more than $465,000 with a career mark of 1:48.4 set at the Meadowlands, has been taken out of Monday's Tattersalls Mixed Sale at the Meadowlands after an interest was sold to Blue Chip Bloodstock and 3 Brothers Stable by The Four Horsemen Stable and Algonquin Farms. A son of Bettor's Delight, Share The Delight will remain in the New Jersey-based barn of trainer Linda Toscano.
A 15-time winner in 46 career starts, Share The Delight finished third in the $1 million 2008 Meadowlands Pace in Art Official's epic victory over Somebeachsomewhere in the world-record time of 1:47.
"We are delight to have these new partners on board for the coming year and beyond," said co-owner Andrew Cohen in a press release. "We are delighted that Linda Toscano and her wonderful team will continue to train and care for the horse. And we are delighted at the prospect of seeing our favorite horse in action racing out of our barn again this year. We're glad he is still part of the family."
Despite Share The Delight's absence from the Tattersalls sale on Monday, more than 350 horses are scheduled to be sold during the auction that begins at 10 a.m. on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
