Irene moves to track mark

Rodney Wyatt's Ireneonthemove equaled the Harrington Raceway track record for 3-year-old pacing fillies Tuesday by winning her $15,000 division of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes in 1:53.3.

Driven by Tony Morgan, the Powerful Toy filly left the gate hard from post seven and made the front before the opening quarter and set all the fractions in her half-length win over Badlands Legacy and Winbak Zoom. The Jason Skinner-trainee has now won 12 of 17 lifetime starts and banked nearly $200,000 in her career.
'Irene' now co-holds the sophomore track record with Tarport Erin.

In the other division, Only Money Inc.'s Badlands Iron Lady (Jim Morand, 1:54.2) outkicked her foes with a half-length score over Benear and Anastasia Hanover. The George Teague-trainee won for the fifth time in eight tries this year. The same connections combined to win the $1.5 million North American Cup at Woodbine Racetrack Tuesday.
