According to a report by The Harness Edge, It's Fritz, one of the top free-for-all pacers of the early 1980s, was euthanized at Hempt Farms in Pennsylvania on Wednesday morning. He was 31. According to farm manager Roger Kopas, the former world champion was suffering from the ailments of old age.

It's Fritz was campaigned by horseman Carl Allen. The son of Keystone Ore-Taps (by Meadow Skipper) took a mark of 1:51.4 as a 4 year old and earned $196,593 on the track. In the summer of 1983 he battled against Cam Fella and other top free-for-allers.

It's Fritz was retired to stud at Hempt Farms in Pennsylvania before being moved to Michigan and later returning to Pennsylvania to live out his years. He sired 248 offspring, the best in terms of record and money Golden Fritz p,3, 1:51.1 and Informant p, 1:52.3 ($770,022).
