It's Spring Break time at The Meadows

Spring Break and Brett Miller grabbed the early lead and went on to a comfortable victory in the $27,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Pace on Monday at The Meadows.

Spring Break pocketed Natalie before the quarter pole; the duo raced that way throughout, with Spring Break prevailing by a half-length in 1:52.1. Kay’s Yankee Lou was third.

Randy Bendis trains the 5-year-old daughter of Dream Away-Siobhan for Joann and Joe Thomson. Spring Break won for the 23rd time in 89 career starts and extended her career bankroll to $445,896.

Dave Palone drove four winners on the 16-race card while Tim Twaddle enjoyed a training triple. (The Meadows)
