Twenty-three 3-year-old colt pacers have been entered in this year's 61st annual $541,000 Little Brown Jug, and with defending divisional champion Jereme's Jet drawing the outside post eight in arguably the toughest of the three eliminations, it leaves the pacing classic Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Delaware (Ohio) County fairgrounds wide open.

Trainer Tom Harmer has not yet named a driver for Jereme's Jet, who is coming off back-to-back 1:48.1 victories. Drawing in against the Dan Patch Award winner in the third of the three elims is Holmes division winner Took Hanover (pp1), Jug Preview division winner Western Ace (pp2) and Simcoe division winner Armbro Deuce (pp4).

The second elim features a match-up of North America Cup, Cane Pace and Hoosier Cup winner Total Truth (pp3), Jug Preview division winner True North Hanover (pp4) and Adios winner Cactus Creek (pp2).

Doonbeg, the pint-sized colt who finished second in his last start in the Simcoe behind Armbro Deuce, is the morning-line choice in the opening elimination from post five. Jug Preview division winner Sandro Hanover, one of three entries from the nation's leading dash-winning trainer Mickey Burke (along with True North Hanover and Texas Shootout (3rd elim, pp5), drew the outside seven post.
