When Jacked Up met Scoozi in Monday's second leg of the Murtland Avenue at The Meadows, something had to give--the 4-year-old pacers together had won nine consecutive races. What gave was Scoozi's win streak, as a powerful three-wide move carried Jacked Up to his fourth straight win in a sharp 1:53. Scoozi was second by three-quarters of a length, with Magnificent Gift well back in third. Tony Hall and Jacked Up were content to race fourth, a position that looked increasingly unattractive when a stalled-out Serious Damage appeared to present a roadblock. But when Hall swung the gelded son of Western Hanover three wide, he responded with a sizzling final quarter of :26.2 and gave Hall one of his five wins on the card. Troy McDougal trains Jacked Up and owns him with Rebekah McDougal and Howard Alexander. Irish Big Guy and PW Roman Lover also won $10,000 divisions. The series final, worth an estimated $35,000, is set for March 24. In the $20,000 Open/Preferred Handicap Pace, Up Front Ohio launched an uncovered bid down the backside and kept right on going, upsetting in 1:52.1 at 18-1 and equaling the fastest mile this year at The Meadows. Randy Tharps drove for trainer Brad Buxton and owner Ed Mullinax. (The Meadows)
