Jenna's Choice pulled off an upset victory to win the $40,000 Open Pace at the Meadowlands Saturday night, using a :26.4 final quarter to seize a 1:50.3 victory. He paid $14.60 to win. It was the second score in nine starts this year for Jenna's Choice, a 5-year-old gelding by Jenna's Beach Boy.
Driven by Daniel Dube, Jenna's Choice won by 1 3/4 lengths over Allstar Blue Jean.
Jenna's Choice had finished fifth and fourth in two previous starts and had broken stride while leading the field just three starts back. His rebound on Saturday night gave him 16 career wins in 46 starts, a career which has been derailed by injury at least twice. His career earnings now stand at $387,684.
