Jerry Gray dies

Jeremiah (Jerry) Gray, of Swansea, Mass., died Sunday, Aug. 9, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was 76. 
 
Mr. Gray was born in Swansea, the son of the late Jeremiah Gray Sr. and Neletta (O’Brien) Gray. A graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea and Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., he served in the U.S. Air Force and earned the rank of Lieutenant.
 
Mr. Gray was a partner in the former Gray Brothers of East Providence, R.I. and Pinehurst, N.C., a prominent racing and breeding stable of Standardbred horses. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and the Standardbred Owners of New England and New York.
 
Mr. Gray was an avid bridge player He is survived by several cousins.
