Jersey Girls splits held at Big M; Don't Deny Me wins split

Two $20,000 divisions of the Jersey Girls Series highlighted the Thursday night program at the Meadowlands, raced under sloppy conditions. Autumn Magic won the first division while Don’t Deny Me captured the second split.

 
Brian Sears directed Autumn Magic to a come-from-behind victory in 1:52, with the 4-year-old daughter of Jenna’s Beach Boy using a final quarter of :27.4 to best Saymynamesaymyname and Apere Hanover.
 
Trained by Kevin McDermott, Autumn Magic is owned by Joseph Ziccino. The win was Autumn Magic’s 11th career victory, increasing her earnings to more than $160,000.
 
David Miller was the winning driver in the second Jersey Girls contest, guided Don’t Deny Me to a 1:52.2 victory, the third straight winner’s-circle trip for the 4-year-old daughter of Allamerican Ingot. Natalie and Ramona Disomma finished second and third, respectively.
 
Ken Rucker trains and the Rucker Stables owns Don’t Deny Me, who increased her lifetime earnings to more than $150,000 with the victory.
 
The final for the Jersey Girls Series, for 3 –and 4-year-old filly and mare pacers, is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, with an estimated purse of $70,000.
