Jocuse gets Elitlopp invite

Jocuse, a 5-year-old son of Express Ride, earned an invitation into the Elitlopp with a 1:54.4 victory in the featured race at the Solvalla racetrack in Stockholm Wednesday night. Conny Nobell, who was crowned the winner of last year’s Elitlopp following the disqualification of Jag de Bellouet, broke stride with less than a quarter-mile left in the race.

 

With a bulky 10-horse field and a slow first half, driver Orjan Kihlstrom got locked in with Jocuse until late in the race. Jocuse finished like a speeding bullet to win over Giant Superman, with Adams Hall (a brother to Andover Hall, Conway Hall and Angus Hall) finishing third.
