Jojo N Goliath slingshot past a tough field with a brilliant backside burst that carried him to a convincing 1:50 victory in Wednesday’s $25,000 Preferred Pace at The Meadows. Sent off at a middling 7-1, Jojo N Goliath settled into third before Eric Ledford asked him for pace halfway down the backside. The 4-year-old Keystone Raider-Jo Jo Cadet gelding easily cleared the leader, Armbro Billow, blazing the back half in 54.4 while opening a daylight margin. War Boots was best of the rest, 5-1/2 lengths back, with Southwind Go Go Go third. Paul Kennedy trains Jojo N Goliath, who lowered his lifetime mark 1.4 seconds, for Daniel and Thomas Courtemanche.
