Jolt's book increased

Fashion Farms has announced that the limited book of mares being accepted to stallion Village Jolt has been increased. The original book of mares planned for the son of Cam's Card Shark had been set at 40 due to a prognosis from fertility testing, but because a high success rate has been achieved that number is being increased to 80.

“We have 18 mares confirmed in foal and Village Jolt’s fertility has been improving to the point that we can handle 100 percent more mares than we had intended”, said stallion manager Dan Burstein.

“However, this is based on serving mares at the farm only. We do not recommend transported semen, which we realize, is an inconvenience but we don’t want to mislead anyone. Our goal is get our clients’ mares in foal and we believe that is the best path to choose,” Burstein added.

Village Jolt p,2,1:51.1; 3,1:50f ($1,634,220) retired at the end of last season for owners Jeffrey Snyder and Fashion Farms’ Jules and Arlene Siegel. The 4-year-old stallion stands at Fashion Farms in New Hope, Pa.
