Judge Joe lands post one for Yonkers Trot

Judge Joe, who won one of the two Yonkers Trot eliminations last Saturday night but was since sold to European interests and is now being trained by Jimmy Takter, drew post one for this Saturday's $670,774 final and was installed the 7-5 morning-line choice. Broadway Bistro, who won the other elimination for trainer Jim Campbell, drew the outside post eight.

 

Judge Joe, a homebred owned by the Doug Ackerman Stables, was sold to European interests following the race and transfered to Takter, who has named Ron Pierce to drive the 3-year-old colt in the rich final. Jason Bartlett has once again been named by Campbell to direct Broadway Bistro.
