Jug future pool refunded

August 22, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Phil Terry, director of simulcast for the Delaware County Fair and the Little Brown Jug, has announced that all wagers made on the third future will be refunded because of a programming error. TrackMaster, after receiving the third pool program file from Delaware County Fair accidentally overwrote it with the previous second pool program and distributed the incorrect program to their customers.

All tracks and outlets using TrackMaster as their program source received the old second pool and their patrons used this program to make their selections thus recording all wagers on the wrong horse. For instance, in the third pool Doonbeg was horse number 7 but patrons using the incorrect program from pool number two wanting to wager on Doonbeg would have bet on horse number 6 which was Dave Panlone in the third pool.

After reviewing what had transpired and conferring with Ohio State Racing Commission officials Terry ordered the refund of all wagers made on the third Little Brown Jug Future Wager pool. Patrons having made wagers on the third pool should contact the track or internet provider to find out how to receive their refund. The Ohio Amtote hub is making the necessary arrangements to refund these wagers. If you have questions for them they may be contacted at (614) 875-2795.

Terry said “This was an unfortunate error and the only way to treat all bettors fairly would be to refund all wagers made in the third pool.” Terry went on to say that the Fourth Future Pool will open as scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, the first day of live racing at the Delaware County Fair.
