The FBI is investigating whether there was jury tampering in the fraud trial of Bulletproof’s David Brooks, even as the jury continues deliberations. In an article written by Robert Kessler at www.newsday.com, it was reported that three people associated with Brooks – his brother Jeffrey, his paralegal girlfriend, Jill Klinkert, and another paralegal, Aaron Hendel - all submitted fingerprints and writing samples.
The samples were submitted after federal marshalls told the judge on the case they had found Brooks attempting to conceal a handwritten note in a pile of legal papers given to him by Hendel.
It was not known what the note contained although sources say it could have to do with Brooks’ harness racing interests. To read the article click here
