Kadealia upsets Breeders Crown 3-year-old filly trot in 1:56.1

In another Breeders Crown upset, 75-1 Kadealia skimmed the pylons in deep stretch and captured the $500,000 3-year-old filly trot in 1:56.1, defeating Poster Pin Up and Stage Show, who were second and third, respectively.

Tim Tetrick and Kadealia shot to the lead from post seven and passed the quarter in :29.3, then was shuffled back as Lantern Kronos took the lead followed by Creamy Mimi at the :59.1 half. The three quarters was passed in 1:28 with Stage Show and Dave Palone challenging on the outside.

In the lane the inside opened up for Tetrick and he shot into the lead with Kadealia  while Poster Pin Up and Brian Sears rallied on the outside to nip Stage Show for the place honors.

“I just wanted to get an early spot, she got really good gait speed. George(trainer Teague) made a bridle change to the open and she was a lot more relaxed from last week. When she sat in there she was real quiet. When I asked her for trot late, she had it.”

Kadealia, a Kadabra filly owned by Elmer Fannin, scored only her third victory in 24 starts this year and paid a mutual of $152.00, 40.40, 11.00.
