Twenty-one-year-old Matt Kakaley wasted no time getting started on his second thousand wins, posting an impressive seven-bagger at Northfield Monday. Kakaley, who became the youngest driver in harness racing history to reach 1,000 wins Sunday at Tioga Downs, took both halves of the $27 early Daily Double, scoring with Sand Jamie ($5.20) and I Be Strollin ($8.80). He also won with City Dragon ($4.20) in the 4th race and then with Mor Of That ($6.20) in the 9th. His last three wins of the night came with Larry Clabaugh trainees, as he took the 10th with Doug Neely’s Romance’s Thunder ($4); the 12th with Calvin Lamb’s Brother Bud ($5) who overcame post eight; and with Neely’s Up Front Carl ($3.20) in the 13th.
