Gregg Keidel is leaving Northfield Park to become the Director of Racing and Racing Secretary at Running Aces, the new harness track in Minnesota which is scheduled to open on Friday, April 11.
Keidel comes to Running Aces with 20 years of experience in the racing industry. He most recently served as Director of Racing/Racing Secretary at Northfield Park. He previously served as president of the North American Harness Racing Secretaries Inc., and is a current member of the Board of Directors of that organization.
Running Aces Harness Park, the new harness racetrack and card room under construction on the north side of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, has also announced the racing schedule for its inaugural 2008 season.
Running Aces will hold its first races on Friday, April 11, with the first post at 6 pm. Running Aces has scheduled 53 days of live racing with eight races each day for 53 days. Beginning April 11, Running Aces will race every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night through Sunday, July 6. Post time is 6 pm (CST) on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays, and 3 pm on Sundays.
Running Aces is nearing completion of the construction of a state-of-the art five-eighths-mile harness track, a grandstand building, and modern barns with stalls for almost 300 horses. (Running Aces press release)
