The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has reportedly approved the hiring of a laboratory at the University of Florida to analyze drug testing samples for the state. The Commission's executive director Lisa Underwood announced that Florida was one of six labs that had applied for the contract; financial terms and other details were not announced.
Dr. Richard Sams, formerly the head of the testing laboratory at The Ohio State University, is now the head of the laboratory at the University of Florida.
