The action was hot and heavy at The Red Mile on Sunday night as Unknown Valley (Tyler Shehan) lit up the toteboard by winning the ninth race as the 29-1 longest shot on the board. The bomber helped induce a Pick 4 carryover which will be over $3,385 heading into the Monday night program. The Pick 4 carries a $1 minimum and is offered nightly on races 7-10. If no one correctly selects 4 of 4 in the Pick 4, 25 percent of the net pool is paid to those holding the most winners, while 75 percent is carried over into the following race program.
The Monday night card will also feature the opening leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2-year-old trotters and pacers. Each of the 2-year-old divisions split into two $15,000 legs on Monday night, with the exception of 2-year-old filly pacers where a field of seven will line up in a single $30,000 leg. (Red Mile)
