KF St Patrick, whose only loss in 10 starts last year was by a head in the Ohio Sire Stakes final, opened his 2007 season with a 5 1/2-length victory in the first leg of this year’s Ohio Sire Stakes at Lebanon Raceway Saturday night in 1:56.1.

Russell Swartz drove the Nobleland Sam colt for owner-breeders Henry Kauffman and Michael Medors. Medors also trains the colt.

In other pacing colt division, Travis Lou (On The Attack), a winner in five of six starts last year and four Sire Stakes legs, scored in 1:58 for Dan Noble.

The divisions for trotting colts were won by Rose Run Invader (Armbro Laser) in 2:00.4, He’s Spectacular (Pegasus Spur) in 2:01.1, Cinderella’s Champ (Ilooklikemymom) in 2:02.1 and Buck ID (Superstar Shabra) in 2:02.3.
