KF St Patrick, last year’s divisional champion, keeps rolling merrily along this season, and he made it three in a row Saturday night at Scioto Downs with a sparkling 1:51.1 Ohio Sires Stakes score. The son of Nobleland Sam, who races as a homebred for Henry Kauffman and trainer Mike Medors, boosted his seasonal record to seven wins in 10 starts, after going nine for 10 at two. Saturday, driver Russell Swartz put him right on the front end and never looked back, drawing off to win by four and a half lengths. Last week, KF St Patrick posted a personal best Downtown Showdown sat close to the pace to take the first division for pacing colts, and got up by a nose over Gerald N Sam in 1:54.1. Dale Decker, who owns the Stand Forever colt with Elizabeth Decker, drove the Richard Redder trainee. He’s now won half of his 14 starts this season after being unraced as a two year old. Primo Spur took the first trotting division for driver/trainer Richard Stillings, coming from slightly off the pace to score by a length and a quarter in 1:57.1. The Roy D. Davis-owned son on Pegasus Spur, sent off the favorite in the field of eight, is now four for nine this season. He won his sires stake leg at Looks Dignified, who has been terrorizing them in Fair Stakes, took the second division in a new best time of 1:58.3 for driver/trainer Ron Steck, in spite of a miscue at the start. The son of Ilooklikemymom, owned by Arthur Peavy, Jamie Bauslaugh, and Linda Delaney, boasts a record of nine wins in 14 starts this season. Docdor Reece followed up his Ohio State Fair Stakes score of last week with another notch in the win column in the last division, stalking the speed and getting up for a neck win in 1:58. Jeff Nisonger drove for trainer Jeff Miller, who co-owns the son of Pegasus Spur with Dorothy Miller. The pair also bred Docdor Reece, whose name is a play on Dorothy and husband “Doc” Miller’s first names.
