'Kinetic' & 'West' in Adios Elims

Return Home
August 11, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

The second favorite, Kinetic Yankee upset the field in the first elimination of the Coors Delvin Miller Adios in 1:51.3.

Kinetic Yankee left with odds-on race favorite (1-5) Southwind Lynx taking the pocket trip.  Not happy with that position, Tim Tetrick pulled Southwind Lynx before the :26.1 opening quarter.  Sutter Hanover got away third and pulled after the :54 half.  Hot Rod Mindale was second over to a 1:22.4 third quarter.  Coming down the stretch, Southwind Lynx came up empty and Kinetic Yankee took to the inside passing lane to narrowly beat out second place finisher May June Character.

Brothers Andy and Erv Miller teamed up for owners Brittany Farms, Fred Mansoor, Martha Frank and John Fodera.

May June Character (George Brennan), at odds of 35-1, took second with Sutter Hanover (David Miller) finishing third.  Rounding out the top five was B Blissful and Don Rothfuss and T J’s Ideal with Dave Palone.

Mickey Burke trainees took all three top spots in the second elimination of the Adios.  Greg Grismore and Won the West beat out the field in 1:51.4.  In a blanket finish Pan Giovanni and Tony Hall got up for second with Watta Hotshot and Dave Palone finishing third.

The field for the Adios:
1  Won The West
2  Kinetic Yanke
3  May June Character
4  Pan Giovanni
