Ky. casino bill introduced

A bill was introduced Tuesday in the Kentucky House of Representatives that would allow casino gambling at racetracks and non-track sites via a constitutional amendment. The Red Mile would share its license with Keeneland Thoroughbred track.

Reports state the state of Kentucky would receive 35 percent of adjusted gross revenue, while purse accounts and breed development programs would receive 14.65 percent of adjusted gross revenue. Approximatey 45 percent would go the licensees to build and operates its casino.

Although the bill has been introduced, it doesn't appear it has much chance of passage as the current 30-day legislative session is more than half over.
