Three divisions of the Lady Suffolk Trot were conteted at Freehold Raceway and while the winners were Eyefull (1:59.2), Oh Oh Its Magic (1:58.2) and Classical Mary (1:58.4), the races were not exactly ordinary. .

Eyefull, an Andover Hall filly who was unraced as a 2 year olds but had made 10 starts in the Lady Suffolk, earned her first career victory after finishing as a bridesmaid in seven starts. Steve Smith drove the filly to the victory for trainer Don Wiest, who owns her in partnership with Edward Kimmel.

Oh Oh Its Magic was no stranger to the winner's circle when she made an appearance there after capturing her Lady Suffolk split. A winnr of six of nine starts in New York as a freshman, Oh Oh Its Magic took the front-end route to a victory in her first start of the season.

Pennsylvania Sire Stakes champion Undercover Lover started in the second Lady Suffolk division but never got into the race, breaking stride before the start for driver Ron Pierce, who had won with the filly last November in a Matron elim at Dover Downs.

Carolyn Atherton bred nad owns Oh Oh Its Magic, a daughter of Credit Winner out of hte Striking Sahbra mare Ms. Striking.

The last Lady Suffolk split wet to Classical Mary even though the filly was offstride at the wire. With the second-place finisher 3 3/4 lengths behind her, Classical Mary earned hte 1:58.4 win for owners Steve Stewart and Andrew and Linda Fabian. The Muscles Yankee filly was driven by Pierce.
