Lantern Kronos kept her season’s undefeated streak in tact while Prada Hall scored a huge upset in Friday night’s $35,000 eliminations of the Elegantimage Stakes for three-year-old filly trotters at Mohawk Racetrack. The other elimination fell to Warrawee June and driver Rick Zeron at odds of 4-1. In the opening split, Lantern Kronos floated off the gate from the outside post 10 and didn’t clear until well after the :29-second first quarter for driver Paul MacDonell. Once on top, the hulking daughter of Viking Kronos - Bell Power cruised to an easy victory by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:56.2. Hawaiianphotograph was a rallying second with Saorse landing the show spot. The victory was the fifth straight of the campaign for Lantern Kronos who is trained by Jimmy Takter for Falkbolagen Ab, 212 25 Malmo, Sweden. She returned $3.70 for the win. Warrawee June survived an early first-half parkout to emerge victorious in the second elimination for Rick Zeron in 1:55.2. The daughter of Angus Hall - Warrawee Fourleaf was roughed up for much of the opening half, but held sway by 1-1/2 lengths over Bella Dolce and Whatta Hotty. It was the third win this season for the filly who is conditioned by Frank Oreilly. He co-owns along with John Fielding, Jim Fielding and the Estate of John Ferguson. The final split produced the biggest upset as Prada Hall and Trevor Ritchie used a :28-second final quarter to haul down rivals in 1:55.1, the fastest of the eliminations. The daughter of Andover Hall - Yankee Dazzle took advantage of a hot early pace and got up to nip Somebody To Love by a quarter of a length with early speed threat Amy Kane holding on for the show spot. The clocking was a lifetime best for Prada Hall who was notching her first win of the campaign in six outings for trainer Harald Lunde and owner Torkil Pedersen of 7018 Trondheim, Norway.
