The box closes on Wednesday, June 30, for reservations to the annual Harness Racing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies and Dinner. Sponsored by Cameo Hills Farm, the Brown Family & Kindergarten Stud and the Meadowlands Racetrack, this is harness racing’s most important event of the year so don’t get shut out!

The Museum’s Spring Newsletter is available on the website and provides information on events during the entire Hall of Fame weekend. Historic Track’s racing program and biographic sketches on Hall of Fame inductees as well as others being honored during the Hall of Fame Dinner.
Sunday's post time is 1 pm at Historic Track for an afternoon of racing featuring the Hall of Fame Invitational Trot in memory of Mr. & Mrs. Elbridge T. Gerry Sr. Slated to drive in this annual race is Jimmy Doherty, Herve Filion, Wally Hennessey, Mike Lachance, Cat Manzi, and the Hall of Fame’s newest inductee Dave Palone.
The official opening of the Museum’s latest attraction, the Standarbred Horse Sales Company’s “Buy A Champion,” will take place at 5 pm, just prior to the Hall of Fame cocktail party and dinner which begins at 5:30 pm. This newly created interactive bidding game pits players against each other in a bidding war with the goal of guessing the actual purchase price of a Standardbred racehorse.
A new gallery exhibit, “The Art of Allen F. Brewer, Jr.,” will also debut. Brewer was an owner of Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds in Lexington, KY. As this magnificent display, assembled with the help of the Brewer Family, Museum members and Orange County Tourism, confirms he was an excellent artist and his renderings of horses, creative jewelry and fabric design won him worldwide fame. Brewer was one of the few men licensed to drive Standardbreds and train both breeds of horses. He died in a plane crash in 1967 at the height of his career. Allen Brewer became an Immortal of The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame in 1979. (Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame)
